Luxembourg City (Ville de Luxembourg, in French, Stad Lëtzebuerg in Luxembourgish and Luxemburg Stadt, in German language) is the Capital of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, a small and very picturesque region located in between Belgium, Germany and France.

Luxembourg has a full and very interesting history, sometimes even linked with the famous Dracula (Vlad Dracul) of Vallachia, going from before the Roman Empire ages to Austrian and Spanish Empires rule, Burgundian ages and French Revolution. The City of Luxembourg has regions classified by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites: its Old Quarters and Fortification, and in 2007, together with the City of Sibiu (Romania) and the Greater Region, is an European Capital of Culture. Luxembourg hosts several institutions of the European Union, including the European Court of Justice, the European Court of Auditors, and the European Investment Bank.

From Luxembourg you can easily travel by buss or train to Trier (Germanys oldest city), Vianden and its fortresses and castles, Metz, Nancy of Upper Lorraine and Strasbourg of Alsace in France and Brussels, Brugge or Antwerpen (Anvers, in French) in Belgium.

There are, as you can see, plenty of reasons to travel and visit Luxembourg.
