The Grund (in Luxembourgish language: Gronn) constitutes a quarter in the center of Luxembourg City. It's positioned in the valley below the center of the Old City, on the shores of the Alzette River. The area is popular for nightlife (restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs) and cultural events, and it can be accessed via an elevator which descends through the cliff of the Old City Wall.
The Grund has a population of about 1000 inhabitants.
