The hotel Le Postillon is situated in a quiet area at 10 minutes from the center of Echternach, close to the German border. The town of Echternach, the oldest town in Luxembourg, features numerous tourist attractions such as the Roman villa discovered in 1975, buildings built in the Middle Ages and other from the modern era. Other places of interest in Echternach include the Prehistory Museum, the parish church of St Peter and Paul and the Abbey's Basilica of St Willibrord. Even though the city was badly damaged during the Second World War, the medieval walls and towers had been subsequently thoroughly restored.
