As the legend goes, this holiday dates back to the 8th century and it has pagan origins. It is held each year, on the first Tuesday after the Whitsunday, and it is also ascertained abroad.

The procession which covers a 3-hour tour of the Old Town is led by various music bands, accordion players, violinists and, sometimes, even by fiddlers. The participants, who often amount to 10000 people, dance all along the road to the Church where the relics of Saint Willibrord, to the name of whom the legend upon which this holiday is grounded is linked, are located.
